NEWTON SUMMER
SCIENCE PROGRAM
Newton Summer Science Program (NSSP) is a series of science classes for middle schoolers that the NSHS Science Team hosts with the mission of preparing middle schoolers for high school science classes and opening their eyes to unique science topics.
HISTORY OF NSSP
In 2020, the NSHS Science Team hosted several online classes during the summer to educate middle schoolers in the Newton Public Schools district. NSSP grew to become an affordable and accessible source of education for all middle schoolers in Newton. Being completely free of charge, NSSP is available for every student. Furthermore, NSSP classes follow a hybrid model (in-person and virtual) so that students can receive education both from home or in Newton South.
